FDA Dog Treat Warning

There have been many cases in the past few years of pets getting sick and dying from unknown causes related to treats made in China. To this date, scientists still can't figure out what ingredient in the treat is poisoning our pets. According to the FDA, there have been reports of over 5,000 sick dogs, with 20% of them dead. Many of the jerky-type treats are believed to be causing the illness.
Due to the amount of cases being reported of pets becoming ill and passing away, large pet store retailers, Petco and Petsmart have decided to remove all imported treats from their store shelves. We are beyond excited and applaud these retailers for stepping up and taking action, showing pet parents that they are as concerned as we are about what they sell to the public and the importance of having quality treats in their stores.
The FDA advises pet owners to monitor their pets closely for any change in appetite, vomitting, diarrhea, increased water consumption or increased urination.
If you or someone you know have been giving your pets treats made in China (read the label on the back of the treat packaging, it should say it really small on the bottom) please take your pet to the vet as soon as possible.
