Our hearts absolutely melted when we read the story of Milo & his blind older 'brother', Eddie. As you can see from the picture above, Milo, 6 helps his brother, Eddie, an eight-year-old labrador retriever, and literally guides him on a daily basis, leads him by his leash and shows him the way, & Eddie follows. Milo & Eddie live in Cardiff, Wales with their owner, Angie Baker-Stedham, 45. Angie, tells, Caters News Agency,"Without Milo, Eddie would be lost". Eddie has to wear a shield to protect his eyes from twigs & other objects he can't see outdoors, maybe our pals at Doggles should send him a pair of their awesome protective eyeware ;) Before Eddie went blind, the brothers would play together chasing toys, now, Milo, the terrier always has his eyes on Eddie to make sure he is there in case Eddie needs him. When Milo isn't guiding Eddie, he is showing him how much he loves him by laying next to him & giving him sweet kisses (licks).
We are so touched by such heartfelt stories like this one, because it truly reaffirms our beliefs of how much dogs are such compassionate, caring and loving beings. They don't judge, they love to help and be needed.

Meet Bodhi, the three-and-a-half-year-old handsome model & face of Menswear Dog.This Shiba Inu has been a viral sensation for both people & their pets! The whole project started when Bodhi's owners David Fung, 28 & his girlfriend, Yena Kim, 26 decided to dress Bodhi in the latest male fashion trends, and wah-lah... Menswear Dog was born on January 27, 2013! We hear that David & Yena maybe collaborating with retailers in the near future. Looks like Bodhi (named after Patrick Swayze’s character in Point Break) is on his rise to becoming a supermodel :) We are so excited for Bohi & wish him the best of luck!

It’s been a little more than a week now & we apologize to all our fans & customers for staying off the radar. We have lost our beloved pretty girl Nina. As you can imagine we are in total & utter heartbreak but are very thankful for the 17 AMAZING years we had with her. Although she’s not physically w/ us anymore, her memory & inspiration will continue to be a part of our lives and Bark4Green.

In honor of this special month of November (Adopt a Senior Pet Month) we came across these beautiful photographs by New York-based dog photographer Garry Gross, who formerly worked in the fashion and beauty world. Gross studied with the Animal Behavior Center of New York and became a certified dog trainer in 2002, using that training to begin working with dogs and creating Fine Art style portraits. His last project was a series of large scale portraits of senior dogs and he actively supported charities that benefited rescue dogs and senior dogs. Sadly, Gary passed away in 2010. His Senior Dog Portrait collection is heartbreakingly beautifully, it’s amazing how expressive their faces become as they age. We can definitely agree that the unconditional love that a senior dog has is like no other. We are so blessed to have a senior dog of our own, Nina our 17 y.o Bichon <3
